North Carolina Winter Vacation

On Friday, December 9 2005. All ski resorts worthy of merit will be open and ready to meet the needs of skiiers and snowboarders throughout the state. If you want to get some runs in before the holidays, its a great time to go skiing or snowboarding.
Not sure where to go? Your best bet is to head for Boone, North Carolina. More specifically, Banner Elk, North Carolina which is dead center of the state's big four ski resorts.
Appalachian Ski Mountain - Wonderful terrain and the best rail park in the state. Perfect for Mom's who just want to watch too.
Hawksnest - The only resort open till midnight in the state. (Fridays and Saturday's only).
Beech Mountain - Tallest ski resort (and town) in the entire eastern United States.
Sugar Mtn - More pricey but always open and the best conditions in the state thanks to excellent grooming.
