Llama Trekking in the Appalachians

The Llamas' centuries old ability as a beast of burden has been rediscovered by hikers, backpackers, and forest work crews. Their surefootedness and padded feet, along with their ability to graze and browse, has minimal impact on the back country. A Llamas' common sense and gentle manner makes them an excellent pack animal and trail companion. It’s the males that are most commonly packers, and can carry 50 to 120 pounds.
