Ski Season may be early

As we speak artificial snow is being dumped on the mountain tops of Cataloochee Ski Resort in Western North Carolina. Two weeks ahead of schedule, Cataloochee may be the first ski resort open below the Mason Dixon Line. If all goes well and the powder sticks, Cataloochee could open this Saturday, Nov 11 2005. Final decision will be made tomorrow at noon Eastern Time. With over eight resorts in North Carolina this will give the early bird opening record to Maggie Valley, North Carolina.
